Information for physicians

An individually prepared medicinal products containing medical cannabis (hereinafter a “IPMP containing cannabis”) is prescribed (according to Section 80 of Act No. 378/2007 Coll., on pharmaceuticals, as amended) exclusively in the form of an electronic prescription (ePrescription)  subject to restricted sale. This is the electronic form of a prescription for a medicinal product containing a dependency producing substance, the issuing of which is subject to obligations under special legal regulations.

An IPMP containing cannabis may be prescribed, dispensed and used only in accordance with Decree No. 236/2015 Coll., which stipulates the conditions for prescribing, preparing, dispensing and using IPMP containing cannabis.
